BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Cultural Department hosts a variety of events and programs for residents. Classes are held at CI Beaver Hall, 3696 Highmont St. unless otherwise noted. The following is a listing of upcoming events. Paint and play

It’s time to register for Kids’ Paint, Paste & Play. Pre-schoolers assisted by their special adult will enjoy this interactive class. Playful learning includes music and movement, messy art, science fun, parachute play, craft time and more. The class is held for 18-24 months, 10-10:45 a.m., 3-5 years – 11-11:45 a.m. now through Aug. 16. Bring an old shirt or cover-up to each class. Material fee included. Registration required.

Tennis camp

The City of Beavercreek is offering Jump Start Tennis Camp, Aug. 8-12 at Lofino Park, 640 Grange Hall Road for children ages 6-12. Beginners will receive instruction on the fundamentals of the game, developing skills, ball control, stroke techniques and practice habits and court etiquette. Intermediates will improve on basic fundamentals but will learn how to play the game of tennis in match situations. Programs fill quickly due to limited court space. Resident fee is $45 and non-resident fee is $52. 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. (ages 6-7) 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (ages 8-9) 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (ages 10-12).
