BEAVERCREEK — The Greene County Sanitary Engineering Department has issued a boil water advisory for the following homes in Beavercreek: 2982 Homeway Drive; 457, 474 and 475 Towncrest Drive; as well as 2960, 2961, 2970, 2971, 2980, 2981 and 2991 Stauffer Drive.

The advisory was issued Monday afternoon. The department will issue a follow-up notice once the advisory is lifted.

The water pressure in these areas dropped due to a broken water main. The Ohio EPA recommends the department issue a boil water advisory whenever there is a loss of water pressure in the system. While there is little chance of contamination, according to the county department, the boil water advisory is issued as a precautionary measure.
