XENIA & BEAVERCREEK – Greene Memorial Hospital and Soin Medical Center’s new Director of Quality Dawn Myers is excited about her new role.

“I’m a very detail oriented person and I have always loved caring for and helping people,” said Dawn Myers. “I see this position as a tremendous opportunity for continuing and improving the best possible patient care.”

“In my family, we grew up with a loved one in our home who always needed help. So caregiving was a natural part of my life.”

Originally from Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Myers earned her associate degree in nursing at Kettering College with a focus on caring for patients in intensive care. She would later receive her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Regis University in Denver, Colo. after spending time in the military.

Myers has defined her goals for the Director of Quality position.

“My mission is to ensure quality treatment at both Soin and Greene and to continue to mirror our other Kettering Health Network facilities,” she said. “My philosophy is that we should treat every patient as if we are the one being treated. It’s an important part of quality care.”

She believes another key to quality care is providing staff with continuing education.

“We will continue to provide our staff with all the tools to be successful,” she added. “They are already highly qualified to take care of patients, and have a strong desire to serve others. We are always striving to make it even better for our patients. It’s part of the core mission of our Network.”

When Myers isn’t working she loves traveling and spending time with her family in Centerville.

“I’m excited about our future,” she added. “I am anxious to evaluate our progress at Soin and Greene throughout the coming year.”
