XENIA — The Greene County Farm Forum and OSU Extension Greene County will host a fundraiser picnic June 27 at the Orchard Lane Banquet Center, 2185 SR 235, Xenia. The event will start at 6 p.m. and will include food provided by the Little Miami River Catering Company of Bellbrook and music by the band Dumbfounded.
Funds from the picnic will go towards funding local scholarships for those planning to enter a field of study related to agriculture. The Greene County Farm Forum has awarded over $6,000 in scholarships in the last two years.
The menu is set to include grilled marinated chicken breast and shredded beef brisket with all the trimmings for adults and hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti with Marinara, chicken nuggets and corn dogs with vegetables, fruit and drinks for kids.
