BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreek City Schools will be conducting a full day registration for students entering kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Board of Education, 3040 Kemp Road. No appointments are necessary this day only and the registration process shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes.

There are benefits to students and parents who register on this day. Kindergarten screenings are conducted in early May to identify those skills that incoming students need to master, and school counselors will provide parents with resources they can use to prepare their children for school.

Registering early provides parents with more time to work on building these skills with their students. Registering early also helps the district plan for the upcoming year to ensure that staffing and resources are in place prior to the start of school. If you miss the March 9th registration day, you may go to your appropriate school building until April 28th.

If you are a parent of a preschool student currently attending our preschool program and reside in Beavercreek, you will not need to pick up a Kindergarten packet. The Preschool to Kindergarten Registration Packet will be sent home in your child’s backpack sometime in February.

Parents will be asked to bring the completed packet along with a new proof of residency to the Preschool Office March 6-10 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to complete registration.

You may obtain the kindergarten packet from your child’s school or at the Board of Education building beginning February 15. Bring the completed packet with you on March 9 along with the required items mentioned below.
