Spring hike

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Wetlands Association will host a hike in Siebenthaler Fen to look for signs of spring 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, March 11. Spring is almost here and one of the first indicators in the wetlands is the Skunk Cabbage blossom. The plant blooms before it sends up leaves. Parking area is located on Fairgrounds Road east of Beaver Valley Road. Please dress for the weather.

Church to host meal packing

BEAVERCREEK — Patterson Park Church in Beavercreek is hosting a meal packing event to feed orphans in Haiti from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 1 through the organization, A Child’s Hope International. For more information visit www.thechildrenarewaiting.org/portfolio/hands-against-hunger/. The goal is to raise $30,000 for this event and $25,000 has already been raised in the last four months.
